When we go through realy hard times like we are now we can be angry, we can be complainers, we can withdraw from all.. OR we can use it to grow deeper in God.
When you were in school you had to pass the grade you were in to advance tot he next grade up. Tribulations we go through do the same thing Spiritually. This is how we grow in God. This is HOW we learn to trust God fully. This is how we learn to OVERCOME.
Overcome , is an important word. In the book of Revelations John wrote several letters to different Churches . Every one of those letters ended with blessings for "He who overcomes"
now add to this the truth > we as humans learn through mistakes.
If we dont learn we cant grow .. If we cant grow we become withered branches that produce no fruit. ( our growing in God is also fruit )
God will prune us from he Vine.
Paul many times told us that God refines us like gold. To refine gold you have to add heat ( fire) so all the impurities come floating to the top and can be removed . Our sins are our impurities.
Truth > We cannot be made pure without tribulation
this is where we are to lean on God for strength and Wisdom ( wisdom gives us discernment )
Remember : Jesus told all. when you follow me you will be beaten, mocked, imprisoned , even killed for my names sake ( paraphrasing)
Truth > the harder you have to work for something you want the more you cherish it.
The harder you work on being conformed into Christ the more you cherish Him.. AND your love that we have for the Father grows exponentially , because we become closer to Him.
Without tribulations our faith weakens . we become embedded with impurities
but through all of this GOD NEVER leaves your side. He is always the same He never changes.
Use these times to purify yourselves. Use this great opportunity to learn to really trust in God, and overcome .... Learn to " get rid of " your personal anger .. Learn not to complain ... God has given us the ability to Overcome these and more
