Where I live we have about 6 different species of tick, and I see them all regularly because I have pets that go outdoors. New species have shown up throughout my lifetime. I am sure I will be hearing about this new one soon.
The good news is that throughout history the major deadly infectious diseases went away with improved sanitation and nutrition. (The establishment told us it was the vaccines, but that's bullshit.) The establishment has been corrupting our food for decades to raise death rates, with some success. But people who take care of themselves and know to eat healthy and take supplements can avoid dying from most contagious diseases.
EDIT: BTW, while the outbreak was first identified in Lyme CT, the biolab was Plum Island, which is near CT, but part of NY state.
Patriot, I have noticed the same where I live. Thank you for this reminder.
