The whole concept of "conserving" water is idiotic. Water is there to be used. It falls out of the sky and it runs into the oceans. In the meantime we make use of it. A better term is "managing" water in such a way that we have enough where we need it. Instead of denying ourselves the use of water, why don't we insure that we have more than enough water to meet our needs? Doesn't that make more sense? It's not as if we are running out -- 70% of the surface of the world is water, and it goes two miles down. It's not fresh, you say. It is when it goes up into the atmosphere as clouds and then falls as rain. Water is a limitless resource on this planet. We need to stop thinking we are somehow going to run out of it. We aren't. We need to manage it in such a way that it is there when and where we need it. In other words, we need to take control, not keep giving up control.
