Isn't it interesting how the engineers have launched a new term for transhumanizing you into a cyborg? Notice how the new term sounds sweeter, making it easier to swallow. Regardless, the process will either turn you into a cyborg or kill you. This just might be an instance where death is preferable to the 'cure.'

"The winners of future wars..."

It appears as though they can't see a future where war is obsolete.

They only think in terms of a world of competition, and never one of cooperation. That would require compassion and the ability to see things from the other side's point of view.

The whole idea of 'race' and racism' are grounded in the concept of competition, and if you look back far enough, you'll see where those terms originated and why.

The 'chosen people'.......

The same group of like-minded people started all the research into genetics (formerly called eugenics until it became offensive due to goings-on by the Nazis and their Joo handlers during WWII). They have so far failed to find a way to show that they are somehow a superior 'race', but they will keep trying, because they're committed to their centuries-long agenda that they outline in their 'Holy Books'.
