I’m not good at reading the scientific jargon but it seems like he owns the patent in using antagonists to interact with gp120 ( or something like that lol), not a patent of gp120 itself. Once again, I don’t know what any of that stuff means, but you can see from the link what I’m talking about Maybe there is a different patent, but this is the only one I can find
