The funny thing I’ve noticed about segregation, particularly with blacks, is that after all the fighting for civil rights/equality and the sacrifice made by MLK to end segregation…. When left to their own devices, most blacks want to segregate themselves anyway, and they do so. About 10 years ago I found myself in the wrong part of town in Houston. I went into a Papadeauex’s restaurant. Myself and my friend were the only white people there. At first I thought “oh well, people are people and as long as I’m nice to people they’ll be nice to me.” That was not the case. The bartender was civil to us, but the patrons - en masse - were very nasty to us. Why? Because they didn’t want white people in “their” restaurant. I won’t say all blacks want segregation. I know many who aren’t that way. But the vast majority seem to want it..which is puzzling AF considering that they spent a long time bitching about it and wanting it removed. I guess they like it so long as it’s THEIR idea..
