I got a notice on my phone to do a cell # verification via getting a text with a code to enter that verifies my device's phone number yesterday. Does that mean I'm nearing actually having access to Truth Social? Sadly, even after doing that text code verification step, my "waitlist number" still hasn't changed and the "refresh" button still doesn't work on the app, even after installing updates on the app for "bug fixes." Apparently THAT bug isn't one they chose to fix. :-(

I didn't have to go through that to get in. Be careful, could be a scam. However, it may be a new way to verify people and to weed out bots.

Thanks for pointing that out. In this case, however, the message appeared via an alert WITHIN the Truth Social app so I think it was legit.
