I was laughing my ass off when Jussie kept chanting over and over and over again, "I am not suicidal!" That was the only thing he had to say to the judge after he was sentenced. Jussie kept shouting that he's not suicidal even as he was being escorted by law enforcement out of the courtroom to the jail, while adding that he's innocent - LOL!
Did you watch the whole schpeel that the judge reviewed on camera BEFORE he sentenced Smollett? That judge was freaking AWESOME SAUCE! He walked the listener through ALL the steps of premeditation and activities leading up to the hoax itself and afterwards. The judge was phenomenal!
Yep, I watched it! That judge laid it all out. Then he went a bit soft on Jussie -- but at least he got some jail time.
Yeah, I agree - the judge was too soft on Smollett in his sentencing. It seemed like he watered it down a bit due to Smollett's SUPPOSED "contributions to society" or some such shit. What I loved, however, was that Jussie was taken STRAIGHT to jail that VERY MINUTE and the judge denied all the lawyers' motions (like preventing jail time till AFTER an appeal) outright and he just shut them all down. LOL!
