It isnt. Its not powered. Its covered in a huge dome. (i.ytimg.com) If the dome is damaged some radiation like what is in the area will get out. In fact for decades they didn't even have the dome to cover it.

Here's a commentary on the current situation. From what he says, It is currently running on diesel generators since the power was cut (makes sense) The situation then is contingent on their ability to keep feeding them diesel fuel Certainly that would be best for everybody involved
