I don't think that's quite right.
I think it's more that some people get into mensa, then they relax and think "well I'm smart so I shouldn't be able to be wrong".
Even if you had 300iq, if you're fed a pattern of information, but the information is completely biased and inaccurate, you can only come to a logical conclusion based on what you're given.
Understanding that people can lie straight to your face won't be picked up in a mensa test lol.
