You do understand how "it can be toxic and maybe cause cancer" and "everyone is dead oh god the humanity!" are different statements right?
This explains a lot though. You don't see any middle ground between completely harmless and mass extinction. As long as enough people to make your tendies are still alive, you're gonna stick your fingers in your ears and pretend that daddy government and mommy megacorp love you.

I argue with flat earthers sometimes but I don't feel the need to bring up that guy who thinks Australia is made up, because that's not an argument. Obviously anyone claiming 5G has already caused mass devastation is fucking trolling you dude. Or they have schizophrenia.

I'd happily agree that every time a new technology comes along, people on websites like Poal, voat, 4chan and r/conspiracy freak out about how it will cause cancer, be used for mass genocide, cause autism and there being scientists fearing for their life for telling the truth, and then just completly forget about it in a few years later to freak out about the newest technology. And that they are, as you say, mentally ill.
