LOl, completely ignoring the recent history of 8yrs of Ukraine bombing the Donbas/ Lugansk 'Russian populace'. Azov battalion mercenaries given free reign by Ukraine Govt and military Authorities to attempt to ethnically cleanse said areas. The complete failure of Ukraine to follow the Minsk protocol. Or the 10 years building and $12 billion funding Russia put into the Nord-stream 2 pipeline to allow Russia to sell oil directly into the European market - which was just recently reneged upon by the German partner (before these current events in Ukraine). Or the continual dismissal and ignorance of Russia's legitimate Security concerns repeatedly brought to the UN etc of NATO's undeniable East wards progression. I don't have a dog in this fight either, however it doesn't mean I should remain ignorant or not acknowledge any pertinent underlying issues if I wish to be objective and non biased in any reasonable discussion of the situation ...
