Why didn't he stay and defend his country?
He is not Ukrainian. I think his ex wife is. I think that's why he's there.
For those of you trying to work out what is going on just like I am, I am posting a message from someone I have interacted with for years now. He owns an astrology service and was living in Odessa. He sent this out as a part of his astrology newsletter. I thought it might be good to throw into the pile of info we're gathering here. He is an astrologer and so the service he is saying you can support is by purchasing a chart. I deleted that part because I am not supporting/selling anything. Everything else is copied and pasted straight from his email.
"Hi Folks, I want to make this update for you on Ukraine, as I was living in Odesa, Ukraine for the last year. I lived in Ukraine on and off for the last six years, mostly in Kyiv.
As I have been living in this country with my daughter, I was naturally cautious and since September 2021, I was following the news. Tensions aroused first in September and then things got much calmer. I concluded that this is more of a psychological war, rather than an actual invasion threat.
In January, my friends, even my clients, brought to my attention the heat at the border again. They were worried about me. After a few days, everything got silent again, and I was thinking “So, what this Putin guy is going to do? Is he going to invade or not?” As a result, I stopped taking it seriously… until the last one week, actually one week ago today. Putin's previous evening talk as agitating a lot of people and another friend of mine from Turkey was like “Hey, bro, When are you coming to Turkey with your daughter?” First, again I didn't take it seriously. But during the day I realized the seriousness of the threat and I started taking actual steps to leave the Ukraine. I have an ex-wife who was not worried at all about the war. Our child is not a Ukrainian citizen yet because of the complications of the bureaucratic system of Ukraine and so she cannot give me written consent to leave without her, and so on and so forth.
Nevertheless, I took steps and planned to fly from Ukraine on Saturday… But it was too late… The plan was too late because two days after this, I woke up with the explosions in Odessa, at 6 am. There were a few explosions far and loud, but it was enough to agitate. We wanted to leave immediately but it was not possible to leave for another three or four days, due to some other unexpected problems… Long story short, we crossed the border to Romania on the 28th of February, the morning of Monday. People have been super helpful at the border, and generally, Romanian people are amazingly helpful.
Moldovan people helped us too and I'm hearing Poles, Slovakians, and Hungarians too. The whole world is watching, and the whole world is supporting. These are crazy times to be living in, and it's kind of interesting, that I was caught in the middle of this.
My ex-wife Kristina is concerned, that her parents are stuck in Ukraine. Her brother, with his 1-year-old son, were stuck in Bucha, Kyiv. It is hard to reach out to where they live, and difficult to communicate with them. But luckily the little kid and his mother are evacuated now.
So, half of Kristina's heart wants to stay. She sometimes tells me that she wants to go back to her country, to help his brother. Ukrainians are very resilient people and they're a bit more primitive than the rest of the Western world, I think. But this also makes them very strong. That's also the reason why, I guess, why Putin's plans have failed to invade this country so quickly.
Yeah, so these are the updates from my side. I want to be able to help my ex-wife and other people that I know. My friends, my extended family in Ukraine. So at the moment, I am taking it as a mission and I want to help as much as possible while I am abroad. I want to support them financially, not just emotionally and spiritually. So if you are with me on this mission, you can just support me.
I will not ask you to simply donate money but suggest you buy this digital service that I'm offering.
So stay safe. Keep us in your prayers stay centered. Don't panic too much don't go into the fear porn. The situation is not that bad. We just need to show the Russians that we are united and we are seriously supporting Ukraine. And we will make it as hell as difficult for them to achieve their goals and we will make our best to uproot them, cut them from the roots."
