It's as far reaching as you take it. If you just get up from your PC and go sit on the couch to watch Price Is Right, then that's how far it reached. But if you prime yourself with accurate verifiable information* and take it with you to the streets, to work, to the restaurant, and maybe even the latest family get-together then it's gonna go farther. What was that theory about degrees of familiarity or something? ...You are only like 11 people away from any other single person in the world?

Do you watch Jessie Water, Tucker Carlson? There is proof of what a good post is. Epic and news articles posted here and other sites those two use them..
the catch frame : we found this on the web , at first it look like some conspiracy theory nut job but after looking into it we found it wasn't" then they would start with one of the NEWS ARTICLES posted. Sometimes they use threads we have put together .
Now is that all there is to a good post? no it isnt
We also bring things up for our " in house" experts on that particular topic to help us understand what we found, or it ties into their research.
We also keep each other sharpened.
As for up votes / down votes, Are you in this for Personal Fame or Glory? If neither, then that doesnt matter. it doesnt matter how many follow you ..
