Oh I’m absolutely doubting veracity of the statement and source, considering what it would actually mean. We’ve been in hot wars before without reaching DEFCON 1. It would be really difficult to reach that level without being directly attacked at the home land, or being attacked with nuclear weapons. Sure there are other ways, but none of them seem to be emergent at the moment or near future. I most certainly don’t think he’s talking about Canada coming down and attacking us. I don’t think he’s talking about North Korea coming over and invading, or Mexico. I think the general assumption is that he’s discussing the Russia situation. Russia ain’t coming over here. That leaves nukes. I don’t think he means from China. So this is an extremely big statement for someone to make, and he’s fucking wrong all the goddamn time with his inflammatory fucking comments, so I think it’s OK to question the source to the point of dismissing him. He’s a drama queen liar.
