As a result of Putin’s ongoing assault on Ukraine,

and the leaders of the European Commission, France, Germany, Italy, the UK, and Canada decided to take specific measures to further isolate Russia from the international financial system.

"First, we commit to ensuring that selected Russian banks are removed from the SWIFT messaging system. This will ensure that these banks are disconnected from the international financial system and harm their ability to operate globally.

To me, this just screams that the globalists desperately want to protect their cash cow of evil deeds and money laundering via Ukraine and it doesn't even have anything to do with Russia per se (besides Putin getting his hands on more evidence against them and taking the globalists' puppet Ukraine leader out of power, as well as his puppet cabinet/admin).
