it's just rhetoric designed to get the EU to join the war. Putin has zero support from the western left but has done a great job of public relations on the right over the last couple of years, so this guy is trying to take some of that away from him. what's more suspicious is that Putin is playing right into his hands by sending in hordes of muslim fighters...
