DIE GRÜNEN started as grassroots peace movement, but then the CIA took over and replaced the people at the top (Joshka Fischer was one of them). Since then, the party is pro war ("humanitarian interventions") and tries to starve Germany of energy (very successful). They are very happy that Nordstream 2 is cancelled. But they are not alone, the whole worldwide CO2 reduction movement has the same objective (inklusive the Green New Deal). They all know that China builds new coal power plants and gets all the Russian gas in the future, it was never about the CO2.
