I wanted to see if there is a reference to military action or bases as a result of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Turns out there is a boat that was used in WWI and WWII that was named the USS Lanikai (originally named Hermes). This boat played a key role at the start of WWII because it was deployed by Roosevelt in an attempt to try to gain info on Japan's military movements just prior to the bomb being dropped on Pearl Harbor:
