Yesterday the FBI released 25 pages of handwritten notes as part of a FOIA. Those notes (mostly illegible) show an attempt to justify the connection between Trump's public call for Russia to "find Hillary's emails" as the catalyst for opening Crossfire Hurricane. The FBI (mainly Peter Strzok) claims that this statement was the reason Alexander Downer approached the FBI with information (about his conversation with George Papadopoulos saying Trump had copies of Hillary's emails). Only Problem? Based on the DOJ's own documentation, Downer approached the FBI 1 day prior to Trump's statement. * Alexander Downer Approached FBI on July 26, 2016 (per Mueller report) * Trump's televised appeal for Russia to find Hillary's emails was on July 27, 2016 Strzok opens Crossfire Hurricane investigation on July 31, 2016 and approves the investigation himself (against FBI policy).
