WHAT IS THE EMERGENCIES ACT?
The Act allows for actions to combat urgent and critical situations that seriously threaten some aspect of Canadians’ lives, and that cannot be effectively dealt with under any other law of Canada.
An official sit-down with government leaders, the truckers, and other relevant experts (with peer-reviewed documents) to discuss the merits of the mandates would be an effective measure before inciting the Emergencies Act.
But the government doesn't want that because they know they're wrong.
