Overdraft fees are totally avoidable. You're stealing from the bank. Making them pay a vendor money that you don't have. There shouldn't be a penalty for this?
I'm not saying there shouldn't be overdraft fees, but it seems other factors should be taken into consideration - for example the person here reporting that the bank changed the order of the checks so that five overdrafts were charged, rather than one.
I'm not sure what is meant by order of checks. The bank should process them as they are submitted. The check number (order?) is irrelevant. I'm not sure if that is what is meant.
