Not to downplay anything, but it doesn't take any special insight or genius to point out that they were going to tank the economy. Now the why they do it is a little bit more tricky and there are likely more than one reason for it. But any sensible person could come up with a handful of possibilities just looking at the past actions of the oligarchs in charge. So this is not groundbreaking or earth shattering by any means. Haven't been to 8chan in a while but kinda lost interest when the breadcrumbs started to become obvious and generic as a "psychic" on the beach reading palms.
