If there not eating them then why, why kill these precious animals

Especially when there are perfectly awful macaques to slaughter? Seriously, fuck those things.

Patriot, its about money and no appreciation for any life.

Seriously, What is wrong with this ?/. You do realise the people that operate these businesses also use the money as funds to re-invest back into the the local communities with employment, and back into the animal herds to keep them well fed and healthy - where a slaughter house is only for profit. Where i am they also use these funds for enviro/ re-naturalization/ habitat replenishment and more, ie - things That local Govt doesn't give a shit about. The animal/ meat is then butchered, dressed and sold.

You answered my concern, is this just wasted meat or butchered and sold for consumption. Getting a bullet in the dome seems alot more humane than what i've seen from some of the slaughter house vids.

Hunting is one thing, shooting a animal in a enclosure is no longer sport. They could make more money by allowing a longer hunting season.

Who said it's a sport. It's a pay and shoot set up. Nothing more nothing less. What happens when the Hunting season is closed - the business would have to cease hunting ??. The Govt is not going to rescind Hunting season regulations just to allow a single enterprise to run out of season hunts. If people want to pay to shoot an animal - as long as its done in a safe manner and the animal was well looked after/ healthy etc - no problem here. EDIT: The article (purposely) neglects to inform us the size of the fenced 'pens' , it's on a total 37 000 hectare Fenced Estate. The photo of the animals all lined up are after the had been shot and then placed there by the Estate workers, were for Health Regulations as i suspect they are not able to leave dead and rotting carcasses on the Estate grounds to be eaten by the Wild boar and potentially contaminating the remaining living live stock. Oh btw the animals (wild boar and deer) are not endangered and according to whats in the article appear to be proliferate and over-numbered requiring regular culling - hence the shoot off. This is deliberate agi-prop sensational reporting ...

My prolonged hunting season point stands.

What's the point of this? Do they eat the meat or leave them there to rot?

I'm actually surprised it wasn't people :-0
