"Considers banning" is not the same as banning. It's not news, either.

I agree with you on the first point, but that doesn't mean it should not be encouraged. If you read my other comment in this thread, you'd see that I believe ALL private funding in elections should be illegal.

As far as your second point, who made you the arbiter of what's news and what is not?

And with a democrat governor this will go how far?

Agree - I posted it because there should be NO private funding in elections - It should be illegal. Also, we need to watch out for fake-right groups like Omidyar-connected Braynards Look Ahead America who assert that private funding is fine as long as it's distributed evenly. There is NO "evenly" in our election system.

Exactly, corporations and interstate influence for private citizens is so morally corrupt. Unfortunately the masses are too stupid to see the direction that is going.

Yes, and, although I didn't state it in this thread, I agree with you that all corporate funding needs to go - as do ALL the PACs. The only funding that should be allowed in elections PERIOD is individual contributions below a specified limit.

Outside money is one of the biggest obstacles to good We the People candidates running for office - they simply can't compete with the corporate-sponsored candidates.

It's ridiculous that it costs hundreds of thousands to run for a state seat, millions to run for Congress and a billion to run for President. This HAS to stop if we intend to take back this country.
