I have reservations about Allen West as well - not sold on him yet. The only reason I'm leaning that way is purely due to name recognition, so that anyone who doesn't like Abbott has a recognizable alternative candidate option.
Re: Don Huffines, I saw a pretty long interview that he did with David Nino Rodriguez in December I think. Wasn't impressed with him on a personality level (no charisma). He has money, so that's helpful in funding a campaign and he hit many of the conservative talking points on his positions, but he just didn't stir up any enthusiasm from me.
Strong, outspoken, determined, and focused-on-policy-outcomes kind of people (like Trump, Ron DeSantis, Matt Gaetz, Jim Jordan) are the types of candidates I'm drawn to it seems. I want them to be bold, I want them to draw a line in the sand, I want them to be combative and fight like hell for their constituents, I want them to deliver on their campaign promises and make their positions on issues known. But that's just my preference. :-)
Well said!
I'll have to check out the Nino interview thanks! I too love the Trump, Ron DeSantis, Matt Gaetz, Jim Jordan types but during war we might need a sneak attack. Someone who doesn't tell them what they are doing and just does it in the back ground. Like the way Obama destroyed the Tea party and went after all opponents using the law. He even put DeSouza in prison for making the documentary on him! If you haven't watched it I highly recommend it.
I'm warming up to your 'sneak attack' idea - less of a target on their back. There are benefits to that, I admit.
Allen West has screamed "election fraud" re: the 2020 stolen election and even suggested that TX may need to look at seceding from the union since the federal govt is obviously so corrupt. That earned him lots of points from me. Plus he's former military - so that's more points for him. :-)
I've seen all the DeSouza movies, even though I didn't like any of them. I think DeSouza has good intentions, but he's a teeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrible filmmaker and storyteller, IMO.
You thought so? I really like DeSouza. But now that you mention it he does lack a little in storytelling. I respect your opinion in general so I won’t argue with you on that one.
