I haven't needed ID for 16 years. I only ever needed it to open a bank account so I could get direct deposit, and I withdraw all my money as soon as it's put in there. I pay cash for everything. I've never done online commerce and never will.
Government issued ID is just used to tie you to the 'legal fiction' they create when your birth is registered. It's a corporate entity that they fool you into being the trustee of by using their ID. Never produce it or claim that you're the entity named on it and they can't do anything to you if you don't attach yourself to it and you aren't being a harmful threat to anyone.
