It's not what the media says about him, It's what the media refuses to say about him.

Backpedaling without clearly stating "I was wrong, and here is how, and this is why I said/did what I did" does not bring back any credibility- it just marks you as someone who is PANDERING.

If he suddenly came out and say "My goodness, I cannot believe what has come from my Operation Warp Speed, it wasn't meant to be like this, I have looked at the numbers and the shot is a disaster, please stop taking it!", I may change my opinion on him.
