If you're kind enough to reply with suggestions, please briefly describe what's involved in using the tool to strip out my personal info when sharing a video to post here. I REALLY don't want to have to download an app to my phone (with all its built-in spyware/malware), and I'd prefer not to have to create yet another login/PW for yet another account either.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

What I would do. Transfer the videos to a PC, then use video editing software. To remove the exif data. Resave it. Looks like there are multiple apps that can do it for your phone too.

Thank you for your input! I have a video editing software on my computer, but I'm not lugging that with me on an overnight trip. Guess I'll have to wait till I get back home to post vids from Trump's 1/29 rally.

well for one don't use a stock camera app - use a FLOSS One

perhaps get a prepaid phone with internet to just dump afterward

Here's a list to start https://listoffreeware.com/free-open-source-camera-app-android/

But I'd suggest asking over on https://forum.xda-developers.com/f/general-questions-and-answers.456/

Thanks very much for your great advice. Sounds like this would be FAR more effort than it's worth. RSBS and Dan Scavino will post much better pics and videos than I'd ever be able to get, so I'm not going to pursue trying to do this anymore.

Just not worth it from a cost/benefit analysis. It'll be difficult enough just trying to make it into the fairgrounds amidst 10s of thousands of people and surviving 8 hours outside in the freezing cold and wind with nowhere to sit down or warm up.

Secret Service won't allow anyone to bring in a folding chair or cooler or anything like that to anywhere POTUS is. They even confiscated my LIGHTER at the 7/3/21 Trump rally in Sarasota so I couldn't have a cig all damn day there. :-(

Post them on a site like catbox.moe, then use the link to it.

To edit videos, you can use a freeware program like OpenShot, but I don't think it works on phones.

Thanks very much for your suggestions! Not sounding like I'll be able to post videos from the event "live" at the time then. Will have to wait till after I get back.

I am not computer literate.
I do know this > you still have to give your info to just to use their sites...

Moderator how does one get past that? i wish i could

you still have to give your info to just to use their sites...

What sites?

catbox.moe is completely free and anonymous. It will allow up to 200 MB per page, and you can just reload a fresh page to keep adding files.

You can break videos down to smaller parts, and/or use a compression tool to reduce their size. I recommend always keeping the resolution as good as the original when you do this.

Do you have a computer? I can help you get things set up and how to use the software. It's not difficult once you have the right tools and learn how to do it.

the other ones mentioned Mod not chatbox I have a computer and i have never made a video and don't know how. I don't even know how to use most feature on this piece of crap..

Apple doesn't prove a manual on how to use its app.. there are no tutorials for them..

As for me I am illiterate Computer Wise , It wasn't until summer of 2020 that i learned how to archive off line..

recommended a site called pic8.co for uploading photos, and it works great. I don't know if it does videos though.

I hope you can find a solution - you can be our official reporter on the scene live :-)

So far, the suggestions are for only for photos - not for videos. The software suggested for stripping personal data out of videos doesn't work on mobile phones - only computers (which I'm not taking with me). It's not looking promising to post real-time vids from Trump's 1/29 rally. :-(
