I'd actually lay much of the blame for the current inflation on Trump. His administration ramped up spending significantly, though you could argue at least part of that was legitimately to help the country get through the coof crap.

Though at least part of the inflation we're seeing is due to the cock-ups in the ports in California, which blame may not be laid directly at Biden's feet, but instead on the party he represents.

As to Trump's spending before, rather than take steps to tighten up monetary policy Biden is instead looking at what Trump did and yelling "hold my beer!" Inflation from this point on is definitely Biden's fault.

Trump wasn't an awesome president IMO but compared to Biden he's a full-blown saint crowned by an angel directly from God.
