The title of this article is misleading - unsealing those records is the courts decision, and Maxwell has no say in it, other than filing motions against the release - which her counsel has apparently decided not to do bc they know it'd be futile.
The Daily Mail shouldn't be making Maxwell look more agreeable than she is.
In a letter to Judge Preska Wednesday, Maxwell's attorney Laura Menninger said her client will 'leave it to the court' to determine whether the names should be unsealed.
'leave it to the court' means she is flipping, and wants them outed, as she can't do it herself publicly. I am reading between the lines here and putting myself in her mindset. This is going to bring down a lot of people.
I'm not giving her credit for doing anything - When it comes down to it, it's up to the court, not Maxwell, if those names are released.
Plus, if I understand correctly, it's "only" the eight John Does that have already been mentioned in court, and the John Does already know they're John Does and most of them have asked to keep the records sealed for their own privacy - boo hoo.
Fair enough.
Aussie Anon she is in the screwed position, Damned if she does, damned if she doesn't . Either way it gets out.
Exactly.
The court has already sealed them. This is shit journalism at its finest.
These are from the 2015 civil suit that was sealed - not the latest trial - two different things, The victim requested the names be unsealed, and I think they will be. That's probably why Queen Elizabeth did what she did - She knew the top was coming off the box.
So are you saying, that there is an, actual happening?
Well, it looks like those names are going to be released - bet those on that list are looking for some deep holes to scurry into. Good.
I bet they'll still be people nobody knows or cares about
