That would have definitely made it funnier - especially since I'm a Texan (haha). But, no, the conversation was over email thru LinkedIn - not a phone conversation. The guy just sent me an "InMail" thru LinkedIn - he wasn't a contact or anyone I'd ever spoken to previously. He's a recruiter who just did a keyword search looking for candidates and my skill set matched the criteria for a job he's seeking to fill, that's all.
