He was talking about the real insurrectionists. Maybe you don't believe there was an FBI operation on Jan. 6 that involved Ray Epps and Antifa/BLM, but there was.
Never mind what Trump says about certain people at this point. He's always using optics as a strategy, and you have to figure that into what's going on. Speaking against Cruz offers certain possible advantages behind the scenes. We don't know everything that's going on there. This is an information war as much as anything.
