Devnin Nunes is the CEO of Trump's new social media site. A reminder: Devin Nunes was Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee for 4 years and a ranking member for nearly a decade.

Here's what he said to Fox today:

“I still see what I am doing as a public service. It is not political, but it is public service,” Nunes told Fox News. “This has to be done. This is the most important issue at the highest level. It is really serious what we’re doing,” he continued. “Millions of Americans and people around the globe are counting on us to get this done and get it done right.”

Tell me this is a White Hat Intelligence operation without telling me this is a White Hat Intelligence operation.

They have to know that shills and operatives will be in full force day one to flood the platform with disgusting shit, at the same time DDOS’ing it in attempt to make it unusable.

I'm sure this is being taken into account.

Freedom of speech doesn't entitle a person to splatter someone else's account with their garbage, so incorporating a personalized blocking system and some sort of means for identifying and eliminating multiple accounts on the platform would soon leave the shills and operatives cut off from all but themselves.

I personally feel that real identities should be enforced, even if only at the administrative level. This would still allow pseudonyms to be used for those who want to use them, but the admins (or an automated system) would still have records of who is who and could ensure that each person only ever has access through one account. This way, if you get blocked by another user, there's no way around it. The current internet was designed to allow for shill activity and pseudonyms have always been encouraged for that purpose. That needs to go if we're going to be an open and honest, transparent society.
