I agree re: "willful action," but when you look at how they're already predicting potential behavior through algorithms, thought-policing doesn't seem far-fetched.

Completely agree. Just bc we have the ability to do something doesn't mean we should.

They can't do this from any distance. They need you hooked up to a machine interface. A MEG machine is the closest thing they have to remote brainwave-reading, and it has to be inches from the head and under very carefully regulated conditions that eliminate all outside electromagnetic disturbances (i.e. a Faraday cage).
