Like I was pointing out in my post Transcending Our Predicament https://poal.co/s/QStorm/488851
That's a deep read. Lots in there.
In my case, I learned that rather than internalizing my response to the people and things that were causing me fear, depression, frustration, etc. and letting it eat me alive, I could subdue them by challenging them, throwing things off balance by doing the unexpected rather than what would normally be expected, going to the heart of the matter and not being afraid to say or do what I thought, to pose the critical questions, rock the boat so to speak, and to learn from the response.
Extremely accurate ;-) and good advice
That neighborhood store of yours - Reminds of the neighborhood shops in South America - Those are always more interesting than the big chain stores. I really wish we could go back to a simpler time. Like how many kinds of toothpaste do we need? (and most made by the same company.) The worst is makeup - be glad you don't have to worry about THAT - Have you ever looked at a drugstore mascara selection? It's ridiculous!
I've never heard of Canadian Tire - looks like they're similar to Home Depot or Menards?

Much like Home Depot. They've been around a lot longer. They started out selling cheap tires for cars, competing with Goodyear.
I wondered where the "Tire" thing cane from - looked at their site, and they have a lot more than tires.
At my old hardware store they sold the basecoat and topcoat plaster, and now that they're gone, no one sells it.
