There's more to this story.
The captions on the video are definitely lying.
She had symptoms and was in contact with several people after she had symptoms. Some of those people also got sick. She refused to get tested so they could contact trace. She was ordered to get tested. She still refused. Teaching remotely over web cam. She spoke out against the government in her class and disparaged whatever authority figure (magistrate? Judge? Don't know what they call them).
So the police showed up to force her to get tested.
Why did she do all this?
Because she refused to follow the isolation mandates after showing symptoms and she likely infected others and stupidly admitted to this shit in her class - someone from her class notified someone else. Fines come with this. If tested positive and she still did not quarantine, she'd get the fines. This is the real reason behind all this.
How do I know all this? It's great to have Vietnamese friends who know more about this than we do. Who can also translate what they are saying in the video.
So the short of it: selfish person acts selfish. Authoritarian government acts authoritarian.
Vietnam is NOT a Western Country. Don't push your luck if you visit. While their police are much nicer and tolerant the police in the US, they can and will disappear you if you bring you shitty narcissistic Western attitude over there.
