Am I correct in interpreting this as if ONE parent nominates a book for removal and the book isn't removed within 30 days, there will be a 10K fine? I don't support books with age-inappropriate sexual content in schools, but it seems that this could set a nasty precedent for other books that ONE parent wants removed from a school.

Opinions?

I think it is just giving anyone the opportunity to point out sexual references in their children's reading material. If the bill explicitly says "no sexual references in kids education," I feel that is pretty black and white. I don't think people can take advantage of that... easily.
