Masks, stay indoors, distance oneself from others, pharmaceutical assault. Not failing to mention the psychological/social trauma. Perfect, now one's immunity is reduced and even more susceptible to dis-ease. And the power of suggestion (fear and hate mongering). Be it physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually. Also keeps folks from gathering to discuss this insanity. Just like mushrooms, left in the dark and fed "compost".

Which of these studies are within the last 20 years and specifically address VRIs and SARS-CoV-2?

The first link is a preprint. Means it has not been peer reviewed or approved for publication.

However, I checked for one of the most common errors when doing COVID-19 case-load research to see if they controlled for it. Good news: they did!

To reduce effects of reporting lags, we used a 7-day simple moving mean.

The reason this is important is some states have lagging days of case loads. Some don't report on certain days. Some hospital networks (which represent huge loads of those numbers) infrequently report their numbers. So a 7 day SMA (simple moving average) works to smooth out this reporting fluctuation.

They also did a good job comparing each state's surges, not absolute timeframe. Most of the pro-mask studies get it wrong, here. They compare "May through August" as an absolute comparison. But surges occur at different times in each state. This is how the pro-mask researchers "get you" with science. That's not how it works - you compare surges to surges regardless of where they occur on a linear timeline.
