Lin Wood transferred enough of these donatioms to Kyle to cover his legal defense costs. Lin Wood is legally bound to return donations for Kyle's legal defense that weren't used for Kyle's legal defense. Much as we might like Lin Wood to give the rest of the money to Kyle to spend on guns, sports cars, and a Fuck Binger billboard, legally Lin Wood can't.
This is why charities prefer general fund donations to spend as they please rather than earmarked donations, because they have to return earmarked donations if they exceed the cost of the earmarked expense.

That's when his mom also found out she had zero control over how the money could be used or earmarked for - it was all controlled by Lin and the other guy - So that is why she got rid of them but unfortunately she got lumped with another shark - David hancock who is the ex-spook that ran Kyles ultimately successful defence but purposely did things like supplying him with the 'free as fuck' t shirt , took him to that bar while also inviting the proud boys down for a photo shoot, he also likely got him that Black rifle faggot company tshirt for the following reees and fall out too.
