In late 2020, if you were not a healthcare worker, elderly, or vulnerable, you were not allowed to get the vaccine. It would be like the captain of the ship getting on a life boat before anyone else got on a life boat: pretty shitty thing to do.
The priority for vaccination was:
Healthcare workers, elderly, and vulnerable Critical Infrastructure (farming, energy, water, etc.) Everyone else
