It’s not the actually the governor, she lost emergency power and does her bidding through the Oregon health authority through a public health crisis order like every state has.

The governor lost emergency power authority shortly after June 1st when she let us remove masks and said authority would be handed back to the counties.

When we started to get a spike in august all the counties including Portland(multnomah county) said fuck off. She got more crazy by the day and a week or so later the Oregon health authority took control through a public health crisis law.

Now they say it’s too hard to vote every 6 months on the mask mandate so they made it permanent. Why would it be six months, it should as “needed” as in never.
