This was always the goal with adding DEF requirements. The whole emission system absolutely neuters the output of diesel motors and adding another easy to control consumable is a totalitarian wet dream. The emission system also happens to be a large part of why new vehicles have become so fucking expensive (pre-the latest huge spike that is).

While technically possible to disable the SCR system, it is presently illegal to do so and would require politicians to issue a legal clarification.

Everyone should learn how to do this.

They get everyone on the legal weed etc, and then immobilize people using the "impaired driver" cut-off device (it's not legal to drive with THC in the body). I have a permit for legal weed, so essentially I can't treat my condition and still drive a car. This does not apply to any other legal prescription drug BTW.

Neither was I. We give our oil to specialty waste providers, that convert the fryer oil (which is illegal to dump), into bio-diesel. This can be used to fuel heavy vehicles. This has been going on for years. Even The Simpsons had an episode where the grease was stolen from groundskeeper Willie.
