No arguing that. I agree the wrong people are incarcerated. But for the same reasons you just quoted "they did it to themselves."
Ignorance should not be rewarded, but rather corrected. I bet most of them don't fall for the same trick again. Sometimes knowledge has to be acquired through pain and/or suffering.
