No he wasn't. This is dumb. He joined the law firm earlier this year. Of which the Law Firm he joined and became an associate of, 'represented a client' who was Michael Sussman. There is no evidence, proof or any official reporting indicating he, personally knew, spoke to or represented Sussman. This is 'guy of a friend of the neighbors husband territory' ....
