Updated I will be quick. My sister in her 50's has been on a vent for a week. Critical but stable. And yes, she has COVID-19 pneumonia. Severe asthmatic and overweight. Remdesiver is what they have her on, we have no voice or choice. Believe me, I have tried to change it. Mesa, Arizona, is where she's at. Her daughter got the jab and my sister chose not to. They live in the same home. About a week after her daughter was vaxxed my sister got sick. Not sure if that made a difference. But I have my suspiciouns.
Please, I am asking for prayers. Please pray to God for her healing. Her name is Jackie. God bless you all. And Thank God for all the prayers that I know will be sent for her. And Thank You All.
Update on Jackie's condition:
Saturday 9/4 6:30am Nurse Kathy
Mom was flipped to her back at
10:30pm and didn't tolerate it well at all.
Her oxygen dipped to the 40s and 50s
She went into A Fib again
Very uncomfortable and was exhaling forcefully
They flipped her back on her stomach after about 10 minutes when she wouldn't calm down. She is still on her belly now and is stable and comfortable.
Dr changed her sedative/pain med from Propofol to Ketamine
Lipids and triglycerides were high
They have a heart medication ready for her if needed but she came out of the A Fib on her own. Unfortunately she is back on the paralytic. (Paralyzed her lungs)
Getting 100% oxygen
Now that she is on her belly she is stable and comfortable.
Blood pressure is 110 over 58
Heart rate 96
Train of 4 tests are good
Waiting for lab results for kidney functions
White blood cell count raised from 9.9 to 12.8
She is getting antibiotics (zosyn)
Platelets normal at 135
Liver AST is 51 (normal high is 40)
TSH (thyroid) high at 10.10
Blood cultures are negative
I'm going to talk to the doctor today regarding the plan of care going forward. Nurse wasn't sure what they are going to do if mom won't tolerate being on her back. I'll keep you posted.
