I'll look in the manual to see if there is an alternate way of braking. It's a subcompact so manual steering should be easy! Thank you for the reassurance :)

Your welcome. Sub compacts usually have a hand emergency brake. Adrenalin assisted braking works well too. :)

Just looked and it says that you "have to have battery power to actuate the parking brake". Ugh! I hate new cars!! Thank you again for your help!
