Work on building a relationships with the local pols in your area. And the Precinct Committeeman, or even better yet become one. Have a good dialog with them, on social media and such. Be very agreeable. Hide your autism up front. No seriously. I know very smart knowledgeable guys who bombard people with stats, law rulings, constitutional articles, etc. on people when they first meet them. Wrong move. People shun these guys, and I consider them to be very knowledgeable and well spoken. People, especially pols, don't want to be bludgeoned with heavy convos. You can have that after a good and trusting relationship has been built. Go to the local RNC office when they regular have meetings and strike up agreeable convos with the pols, the interns, and the regular citizens in the crowd.
