SQL, which stands for Structured Query Language and is pronounce like sequel, is a database language used to query data from a database engine. Saying 'SQL found on voting machine...' is like saying 'English found on library books...' and is a very retarded thing to say. SQL is a language. Microsoft SQL Server is a database enging. Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio is a tool for administrating, developing and querying a database engine (specifically the Microsoft SQL Server database engine). It would be no surprise to any programmer, database administrator or any other IT person to find a database engine on a voting machine because what the fuck else is going to store the data? OMG! We found a MOTOR in a CAR! WTF!?
The presence of the database engine, the management/development tools and the SQL language itself is not an indicator of anything except that the voting machines were built on Microsoft platforms and products. It could have been PostgreSQL, Oracle or even DBase from back in the day if they wanted it to be so. Databases need to be accessed to be used. The voting machine application itself connects to the database engine to put data in and also get it out. That's how it works. You can also connect to the database engine remotely, say with SQL Server Management Studio. You don't even need to login to connect to the database if the database is not configured with a password or is setup to give the currently logged-in user of Windows access to the database (which is probably the case here). It's not really bypassing security to do so. It's just making poor security choices for a database engine.
People who don't understand these things need to shut the fuck up about it. There was election fraud, absolutely, but this is not the kind of smoking gun you think it is. There are a million ways to manipulate the database and its data without needing these tools. As a programmer, I can think of plenty of ways to manipulate the data on a poorly secured server without leaving behind a trace of such acts. This whole thing is being sensationalized to distract you from the real fraud and fraudulent activities. Don't get distracted by obvious things and instead try to see what they don't want you to see. It's not hard to see the frame up going on here. Do better.
Voting machines are supposed to be tabulating machines. The presence of a Structured Query Language means they are now open to manipulation of the data. Granted it doesn't mean manipulation was done but the fact that the news was showing Trump's votes going down proves that something nefarious was happening. Hence the problem with the SQL.
Voting machines are supposed to be tabulating machines.
And what the fuck do you think that means? They are not mechanical counting machines full of gears, levers and cams. They are computers and they need a database to store the data. SQL Server can tabulate that stored data with its built-in function such as SUM() and COUNT() and other aggregate functions. You don't know shit about what you are talking about. Tabulating machines- as if you know what that means. Please, describe to me a computer-based tabulating machine, how it works and what technologies/methods it uses to count without storing the data. I'm sure you can't because you are in over your head and don't know shit about how software and computers actually work. I've been programming professionally for more than three decades and I know you're full of shit.
