Spot on. I know the feeling and stress of watching this play out. In the end God wins and perhaps this horrible movie is God's way of having us draw closer to Him for comfort.
Certainly it takes times such as these to remind people of our need to be close to Him.
He is never absent from us. All we needs do is again turn to Him or simply to draw closer as you have said.
Also, our culture is bearing the fruit of its actions and missteps. Thank God for mercy, just might get a little rough.
